Light. Something that there is very Little of today

If you haven't noticed, I like light. Light fascinates me in the way it expresses itself. I sometimes don't really know what I am going to get.
Take this photo for instance, its a light fixture in Roth Food Court. This shot was taken in the middle of day but it looks like it could've been taken in the dead of night on December 21/22.
The fixtures in that building amuse me. They are so retro, something you would totally see in a 70s movie set.
Anyways, its raining on my parade here at SBU so I'm going to Study.

The Cold Comes Clean

Freezing temperatures have arrived here at SBU. Even though the temperature really isn't the issue, the wind is the real problem. According to my computer it is 23 degrees Fahrenheit outside though I'm sure its colder due to the wind. It would nice if it didn't look so desolate and dead outside. Its miserable. Luckily I have many layers that I can just pile on my body without complaint so the cold doesn't really affect me.

Painted Lights on a Long Exposure

I love how this one looks like fresh oil paints.

Guitar

My guitars
A large part of my life is music, if you didn't already know, but something a lot of people don't realize is how much I love playing guitar. These are three of the seven guitars that I own and cherish.

Left to Right: Jay Turser 133, A remodeled(by me) Yamaha and a Norman ST40 CW

All Hallows Eve

So because I haven't posted anything so far this entire month I've decided to put together a compilation of my wild night in NYC for Halloween.

The night started with our first finding of Waldo. Yes this is Waldo in his girlish form but still, really well done.
Here we have Cori sitting at a table all by her lonesome wishing there was someone to comfort her and put a smile on her face and look beneath the porcelain doll exterior.
The dinosaur hugs the hippy sarong girl, I mean the
Best costume of the night? Quite possibly.
Best costumed kid, saw him and was like "PICTURE TIME." I also want to point out the random girl in the back noticing that I'm taking this picture and giving me the death glare.

I just like this shot for its composition and colors.

It started pouring half way through the night. WE GOT SOAKED to the bone. It was wonderful.

BEST HALLOWEEN EVER

The Leaves are in Full Force Right Now

Boy do the colors look incredible. I feel like I can't do any of the colors justice without a bigger aperture, oh well. Pretty much all the trees on campus are turning. Its amazing how many different shades from pale yellow to deep dark reddish purple there are. It seems to be far more beautiful then last year.

Through The Scaffold Cover

Taken from the scaffolding of the hostel I stayed at in San Francisco.

Much fun.

I like this one, its very serene. This is a beach in NorCal just south of San Francisco about 20 minutes. I think the composition is really nice with all the footprints.

I captured a breaking wave.

The Big One

Roth Pond, home of many strange and marvelous creatures.

This fish in particular is probably about the size of my arm, eats stray cats and frightens most prospective students.

Metropolitan Transit

Welcome to the D.C. underground. A very good Transit system, I must say that I was rather impressed and it gave me a much better understanding of what actual mass transit should be like and not what BART is which is purely between cities and not inside one city like New York City's MTA.

I love long exposures from a stationary position facing towards some source of light. The way that street lamps turn into almost sparkles and the curve that are headlights. I took this along circle road just kind of toying with my camera.

I likes it. How about you?

They'll Fall, but but Now They're BEAUTIFUL

The colors of October. It is something I never had growing up in the San Francisco Bay Area. I love the colors. I can't wait until all of the leaves are vibrant colors and amazingly shaded together.

This is from my second day of travel across country right after leaving the Rocky Mountains. It was my first glimpse of the sun that morning. I continued on to Des Moines, Iowa that night which was somewhere around a thousand miles from my start location of Salt Lake City, Utah that morning.

Just got done with the first round of High C's auditions today. Good draw.

So I didn't actually eat here but I thought it was an awesome sign and is yet another taste of Montreal.
